Caring For The Environment

Leave No Trace

Cape Weymouth Camping and Cabins is located within a unique coastal environment on the eastern side of Cape York. Visitors are encouraged to respect the surrounding landscape and wildlife during their stay.

  • No one is to damage the existing trees.
  • Pets must remain on a leash at all times when not secured in your vehicle or van.
  • Pet poo must be bagged and placed in the rubbish bin.
  • The owners have dogs so please do not feed them and do not leave food out.

Guests should ensure that rubbish is disposed of responsibly and that the area is left in good condition for future visitors. Coconuts and any other organic matter are to placed in the rubbish bin, not left on the ground or thrown into the long grass. Fires must only be lit in designated fire pits. Dead timber can be collected for firewood from the immediate surrounds. No oysters are to be removed from the immediate foreshore.

Ensure you have adequate drinking water as there is no potable water available on site.
